In the early 1990's PCD synthesis technology advanced significantly and
SYNDIE PCD wire drawing blanks became available in sizes up to 40mm in diameter and 20mm in thickness.

These large blanks were designed for applications requiring large dies such as heavy rod drawing, compaction and tube drawing dies. This compliment to the existing range of SYNDIE products, along with the MONODIE synthetic diamond single crystal die stones, produced the largest die blank range available in the world.

Diamond is used in the drawing and forming of many types of materials.
Unlike diamond cutting tools diamond dies are used on ferrous workpiece materials as well as precious, refractory and non-ferrous metals.
