Applications requiring large monocrystalline diamond have been the realm of natural diamond for many years. The Monocrystal family of products now offers toolmakers an alternative to large high quality natural stones.
Natural diamonds are inherently unique and consequently require a skilled process of selection whereby the toolmaker must find a stone that is suitable for each tool being manufactured.

Monocrystal diamond is an engineered product. Selection, quality consistency and orientation are very much simplified and therefore the toolmaker can predict more accurately the tool life.

Monocrystal diamond is used for cutting tools (Monoplate Monodite and Monodress), and in the wire drawing industry (Monodie) is used. These products are sold in various sizes and dimensions with strict tolerances and with a known orientation, which reduces the work required by the toolmaker
