MONOPLATE
MSP

| MONOPLATEs are produced from large
synthetic stones to provide diamond toolmakers with the
ideal raw material for long edge length cutting tools and other
specialized tools and wear parts. |
|
|
MONOPLATE MSP products measure from 6 to 10 mm in longest edge
length (<100> direction) and are produced with a standard
thickness of 1.5 mm. Other thicknesses may be available on request.
MONOPLATEs are supplied with minimal deviation from the precise
crystallographic {100} plane.
A cutting service is offered so that each plate can be further
tailored to a toolmaker's requirements.

MONOSCAN
|
|
To enable the diamond toolmaker to
determine which MONOPLATEs are available, a cataloque of MONOSCANs
has been developed. A MONOSCAN is made for each plate currently
held in stock and shows:

a
Clarity
aThe
crystallographic orientation of the plate's edges
aA
unique MSP Reference number for ordering purposes. |

Availabilty

Available
by selection from the MONOSCAN catalog according to their
unique Reference number, MONOPLATE MSP products are
classified by longest edge length (<100> direction)
and thickness.
Each individual MONOPLATE will be uniquely classified and
described by its MONOSCAN which includes its Reference
number. The table (click
right) illustrates the
size class intervals into which specific plates are
categorized. The MONOPLATE example from the catalog (above
right click) which has
a longest edge length (<100> direction) of 9.84 mm, is
best described as MSP L95 (as it falls in the size class
interval 9.5 to 10.0 mm). To order this MONOPLATE, it would
therefore be specified as:
