MONOPLATEs
|
Catalogs for the
MONOPLATE MSP range of sawn monocrystalline diamond plates. The
catalogs present high resolution images - referred to as MONOSCANs -
of currently held stock so that the most suitable MONOPLATE MSP can
be selected for any application. Each specific catalog has an expiry
date and updates are issued periodically to ensure that the catalog
accurately lists the available stock.
Using the MONOSCAN, each MONOPLATE MSP in the catalog can be
distinguished by its particular dimensions, shape and minor
inclusions and is specified by a unique Reference Number.

What is a
MONOSCAN?
|
|
A MONOSCAN is a high resolution
scanned visual image of a MONOPLATE. This digital color image
shows the internal and external features of the MONOPLATE with
internal features as small as 10 microns being clearly visible.
The MONOSCANs are stored digitally using a scale of 50 pixels per
mm so that the complete image of a MONOPLATE can be viewed on a
typical PC using Windows© NT/95
or later.

How the Catalog works
|
|
The MONOSCAN catalog is an
electronic document with index pages and a separate page for each
MONOSCAN. The index pages rank the MONOPLATEs according to size
class interval. Selecting the small-scale image of a particular
MONOPLATE MSP in the index displays the full-page MONOSCAN on the
computer screen.

|
Cutting Service
|
|
A cutting service is offered to cut
MONOPLATEs selected from the catalog to a toolmaker's
specifications. Limited to straight cuts parallel to the axes of
the MONOSCAN, cutting of a MONOPLATE MSP is requested by drawing
the desired cuts to be made on a print-out of the purchased
MONOPLATE and stating the minimum dimensions of the cut
pieces.
